Personality: Sydra is a very straight forward girl that minds her own business and doesn't ask questions. She's was hurt at a young age by those she loved, and from then own she preferred to be alone. To her, being alone is ideal. When you are alone, no one can hurt you. Sydra tries her best to keep her distance from people, while still being able to interact on a daily basis. She likes antiques and old things, and tries to find new and interesting things to add to her collection. She's civil and cordial to most everyone, unless they are rude, in which case she ignores their existence. Singing is one of her talents, although she is not otherwise musically inclined. Her style of singing is opera, which most of her generation find repulsive. She's independent and makes her own way, which is how she likes it. To Sydra, being dependent would be a most terrible thing, and it's something she's vowed never to be again.
History: Sydra's mother and father were teenager's. Her father left when she was very young, and her mother was constantly in deep depression. At the age of seven, she was dumped by her mother, who drove away and Sydra never saw her again. She was put into foster care, first with a family who ignored her most of the time, then with a horrible family who yelled at her and blamed her for things. At age twelve, she ran away from home and into the nearby woods, where she stopped and sat, crying. Then, two glowing eyes appeared. They eyed the girl and she froze, tears running down her face. It was a shifter, although at the time Sydra didn't know it. It stalked forward very close to her, and so clutched with fear was the girl that she could not move. It stared through her for a long time, and then took her arm in it's teeth. Sydra watched as the teeth carefully cut her soft arm and made it bleed. The creature then washed the wound with it's tongue, then moved away. It stayed nearby, watching her. Sydra was scared and confused, but as she saw this creature did not intend to eat her she decided to stay in the woods instead of going back to her foster home. There, in the woods, she began to change. Painful at first, she had no idea what was happening. But the shifter stayed nearby, and spoke to her, and told her his name. He was Aldas, a dark coated loner. For months Sydra stayed in the woods, learning to be what she now was. Aldas stayed near, and taught her. She was at first appalled by what had happened to her, but as Aldas tutored her, she came to embrace her new being as herself. She was different now, and thanks to Aldas, she could be independent. Finally, after a year, She decided to go back to live with human kind. Aldas was furious, as he had created her with the hopes of having a companion. But she could not be swayed, and she left him heartbroken in the middle of the woods where she'd been changed. When she got back to Cysro, the news of her being found, a lost girl, gone for a year, were everywhere. But it soon died down, and at thirteen, she was put back into foster care. She tolerated it, and at eighteen she was free to do as she liked. Sydra quickly got a job and found her own living quarters, and has resided in Cysro ever since. But every full moon, she goes on a wild run, remembering Aldas, and reminding herself that she can leave her human life whenever she wishes.
